You will be part of a creative and exciting team that will leverage the latest rendering technology to deliver a state-of-the-art visual system and introduce innovative capabilities into simulation products. As an experienced technical artist, you will bring your industry experience to develop the next generation high-fidelity visual system and synthetic environment for flight simulators. The ideal candidate is passionate about working in technology and games.
In this role, you will :
- Create new visual effects or optimize graphics features - such as precipitations, fire, smoke, weapon effects, helicopter recirculation / downwash, ocean wakes, flares, contrails.
- Express your creativity and initiative in developing these graphical effects while providing pilots the critical training cues they need
- Work with multiple teams to collaborate and solve complex technical challenges
- Develop and optimize rendering techniques used to push visual quality level
- Optimize visual effects performance for real time operation while maximizing high fidelity realism
- Actively participate in code reviews
- Stay up to date on technology trends
Requirements
BS Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experienceA great programmer, that is more than comfortable writing codeExperience with Unreal Engine and the Niagara particle systemWell-versed in software engineering principlesExperience in a cross-disciplinary development environment, with excellent cross-discipline communication skills
