Registered Nurse, Addiction Medicine RN / OT - (OPSEU) Full-Time Contract (Approximately 3 years) London, Ontario (London Zone) - Application Deadline : February 25, 2025 - The Registered Nurse (RN) will utilize a holistic approach for client services. Services include assessment, treatment planning, and implementing care following the bio psychosocial model, in accordance with established policies and practices. The RN will provide addiction medication and team-based care to clients with substance use / co-occurring disorders in a variety of community settings, including at Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine Clinics (RAAM) and Mobile Consumption sites. The RN will also provide out-reach for withdrawal management at various locations. The position involves working collaboratively within a multi-professional team including Nurse Practitioners, addiction / mental health counselors, physicians, psychiatrists, emergency departments, family health teams and other community health service providers. Services are delivered via Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN), telephone & face-to-face. (likely needs to be updated). The position will include Community Withdrawal Management supports for persons with addiction concerns. WHAT WE'RE OFFERING : What you'll be making - Starting rate for this role is $31.66 per hour (Level 1 of the RN / OT Grid) ; Successful external applicants will start at Level 1, with grid progression based on seniority up to Level 8, $40.80 per hour Internal applicants will be placed on the grid based on their seniority When you'll work - 70 hours in a bi-weekly period; Rotating Days, Afternoons and Evenings What your benefits will be - 9% in lieu of benefits Your pension plan – Optional enrollment in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE : Responsible for screening, assessment and provision of nursing interventions and supports to individuals in the community Collaborate with mental health and addiction service providers to support the mental health, addiction and primary care health needs of clients who may be in crisis or involved with community mental health and addiction agencies Supporting intake services Providing addiction medicine in the community Administer Urine Drug Screens Use OTN technology to connect with individuals who experience barriers to system and treatment access Promote telemedicine to healthcare professionals, clients and the community and develop or extend expertise with the OTN. Participate in LHIN reporting requirements and OTN evaluation activities as required Assist with program development, implementation and evaluation Documentation : Complete required documentation related to client as per CMHA TVAMHS standards, discipline-specific guidelines and standards and PHIPA legislation Ensure that confidential program / caseload information and material is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and CMHA TVAMHS policy Teamwork : Actively engage in learning opportunities, events, meetings, and team building activities scheduled by CMHA TVAMHS for staff members Act as a resource to other staff and community partners; seek out and listen to input from other staff and community partners Provide support and encouragement to other staff as needed (e.g. assistance with challenging participants / clients, coverage for vacation, sick time, share responsibility for work loads) Be supportive of, and an active participant in, the constant evolution and growth of the organization Other duties as required WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY : Police Vulnerable Sector Check Requirements Successful candidates must have a Police Vulnerable Sector Check completed in the last six months.
