Shackleton Duke Ltd are privileged to be representing a major leader in the Building Envelope / Curtain Wall arena. We are pleased to announce that due to constant growth and projects won they are looking to recruit a talented SENIOR DESIGNER with immediate effect.

Senior Designer Must Haves

Knowledge of curtain wall systems and various envelope-related products.
Foresee and solve curtain wall issues as they arise.
Importance of Air / Water Seals, and thermal performance.
Recognizing, and solving basic Curtain wall / Window detailing issues.
Reading and understanding Architectural and Structural Drawings.
Read, understand and review Specifications providing input to estimating for potential risks.
Organize, schedule projects and liaise with other team members.
Resolve outstanding drawing issues and pursue contract clarifications as required.
Plan and manage Curtain Wall / Window Proposal / Design Drawings.
Review specifications and ensure all aspects of the project have been addressed and conveyed to the project team.
Prepare and execute die shapes.
Correspond and plan the execution of projects with Estimating, Project Managers and Construction teams.
Building construction and sequencing.
Manage site & shop instructions / inspections and reports.

Education

University Building Sciences or related Engineering Degree.

Proficiency with – Microsoft Office, AutoCAD D, AutoCAD D modeling or Inventor.

Revit would also be beneficial.
