Material handler

We're looking for a material handler. This candidate must be a team player and can work by using health and safety methods.

Punctuality and good attendance are mandatory.

Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Randstad Canada is looking for a material handler for a warehouse located in Vaughan area. the Material Handler performs warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.

Schedule : Monday to Friday

• Days : Mon-Fri (5am-1pm), $19.50 / h
• Afternoons : Mon-Fri (1pm-9pm), $20 / h
• Nights : Sun-Thu (9pm-5am), $20.35 / h

Responsibilities

The material handler is responsible for :

• Loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving products;
• Picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks;
• Dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract

Qualifications

The material handler must have :

• Good communication skills in English;
• 1 year or more related warehouse and / or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Experience with automated pick and pack systems
• Experience with an RF scanner
• Able to Lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds
• Able to stand for long periods of time
