Our client is an impressive, fast-growing, and family-owned Accounting firm that is based in Dawson Creek. Salary Ranges from 100-120+K with early partnership opportunity (1-3 years) for the right candidate.

Responsibilities :

  • Reporting to the partners the successful candidate will :
  • Be responsible for managing our technician department of 6 team members.
  • Review compilation and review engagement files in a paperless system.
  • Review personal, corporate, trust and other miscellaneous tax or election returns.
  • Train staff in the function of file preparation or tax preparation.
  • Manage workflow and assignments of work for file technicians.
  • Communicate with clients where required.
  • Provide suggestions for improvement to the firm processes where warranted.

Qualifications :

  • Be a great fit for our current team.
  • Looking for an opportunity to advance to partner within the firm in a relatively short period of time.
  • Have 3 – 5 years of post CPA graduate experience in public practice in a manager role.
  • Be proficient with working with Doc.It, CaseWare, Tax Cycle, Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office.
  • Be comfortable working in a paperless environment utilizing Doc.It
  • Good communicator both verbally and through various communication platforms.
  • Have the ability to problem solve, time manage, and work independently.
  • Carry themselves in a professional and ethical manner.
