.NET Development Manager

About the Company

Our client is a well-known digital company looking to hire a .NET Development Manager to lead a team of 20+. This is a hybrid full-time position in GTA West.

About the Opportunity

This person will be managing teams that work on applications consisting of : 40% desktop VB.NET, 40% web based C# and 20% APIs.

This role is mostly hands-off from coding (this person may code some POCs or help out with any complex functionality) but we need someone who is not too far removed from hands-on with .NET

This person will be managing the full cycle of development : requirements gathering, design / architecture, development, QA / UAT (manual and automated), deployment / devops, post-deployment support, capacity planning and delegation, making technical decision, code reviews, maintaining best practices, etc.

This role will work closely with other teams : PMO, production support, infrastructure server management with IT (IIS / AWS / etc).

This person will also have full HR management of the staff (hiring / firing, performance reviews, development / career planning, etc.

About You

10+ years of progressive software development positions culminating in 5+ years of dev leadership (10+ people)

Strong experience with .NET dev stack (VB, ASP, C#, .NET core, etc)

Experience managing development teams delivering custom developed software (desktop / mobile / web / cloud) - full HR management

Experience with all of SDLC (agile and waterfall) including QA, devops best practices, etc

Strong experience in technical leadership (design / architecture, code reviews, POC coding, etc)

Very good English communication

Ability to commute to Mississauga office 2 days per week

Bonus Items :

Experience with AWS, IIS management

Experience with VB.NET desktop apps

Experience delivering commercial software (not internal)

Salary Range

140,000 – 150,000 / year plus bonus
