We are looking for a nanny to help out with childcare for our 6 month old and growing family. We expect to have 2 under 2 by the fall!Looking for someone comfortable being alongside family as mom WFH part-time and dad works long hours out of the house. A candidate with education or work experience in formal childcare settings, daycare, ECE or similar is preferred. We would love someone with a sense of creativity who is motivated to engage our child(ren) in crafts and activities. Start date is flexible, however would prefer someone available to start in Spring / Summer 2025. Hoping to find someone willing to help out with housekeeping and light cleaning, will compensate appropriately! We do have biweekly house cleaners but some extra help with laundry, dishes, general tidying etc. would be a huge asset. Willingness to help with errands would also be an asset. We live rurally so providing your own transportation is a necessity, unfortunately public transit isn’t an option. Must be comfortable with dogs as we have 3 husky-mix dogs who can be rather vocal.Overall hoping for someone who can integrate into our lives and feel like a respected, well-cared for member of our day to day lives and who can help foster compassion and enrichment in the lives of our child(ren). We approach parenting in a gentle but realistic way. We will offer you open, honest, thoughtful communication and hope for the same from you. (I promise to warn you if anybody in our house is sick!) Wages and hours are negotiable, with a preference for min. 2 days per week; hours flexible Monday-Friday between 7am-5pm; very occasional evenings / weekends paid appropriately. We may want to transition to full-time care in the fall, depending on how busy we are with two kids. We are happy to work with someone who requires a flexible schedule, as long as you are dependable and committed while you’re here! Hoping for someone who plans to be available long term (ie until our kids are school aged) but recognize that this may not be realistic for many qualified applicants. Truthfully, I don’t think an ad can convey our personalities and what we’re looking for effectively, so we hope to meet with you for a mutual interview process and see if we are a good fit for each other. Thanks for looking! Please visit CanadianNanny.ca to view full details and to apply. FREE REGISTRATION and lots of jobs to choose from!
