Job description

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

Assists in the assessment of physical function impairments and disabilities related to the neurological, musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems. He / she determines a treatment plan and carries out interventions with the aim of obtaining optimal functional performance when he / she first has a physiotherapist's assessment or a medical diagnosis that is not limited to symptoms and that indicates, where applicable, the type of structure affected, accompanied by a file documenting the impairment. She may participate in clinical teaching.

REQUIREMENTS

Education :

Must be a member of the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec.

Must hold a college diploma (DEC) in physiotherapy techniques from a school recognized by the appropriate ministry.

Experience :

  • Two (2) years of pertinent experience;

Experience working with individuals, families and community organizations.

Knowledge and abilities :

  • Good knowledge of physiotherapy theory and practice, current trends, MSSS network and regulations;
  • Varied clinical skills : community health, home care and diverse clientele;
  • Ability to communicate theoretical and practical knowledge, as applied to training;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, Teams and other computer applications;
  • Good teamwork and adaptation skills.

    LANGUAGE

  • Fluent in English;
  • Fluency in Cree or French is an asset.

  • Available to travel as needed;
  • Hybrid work schedule between travel and telecommuting.
