Preferred if you have knowledge in the following product lines - Lenel, Axis, Genetec, DSC, Avigilon. Experience working on hospital or healthcare construction projects with healthcare systems (Nurse call, Patient Wandering, RLTS) would be a strong an asset Strong attention to detail, and good organizational and communication skills Must have a valid driver's license and hold a clean driving record Willing to work after hours and be on call
About this role
We are recruiting for Security Technician's to join our Courtenay Field and Service teams. This position requires you to be a certified Electrician or Security System Technician.
Here's how your role will strengthen our team :
Your responsibilities
- Working on various job sites to install, configure and commission various electrical Security, Access Control and Healthcare systems, including CCTV Camera, Video surveillance, Access Door Controls, Intrusion Detection, Nurse Call, RTLS, etc
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, circuit diagrams and other construction documents to ensure the correct installations, in residential, commercial and healthcare buildings.
- Respond to customer service calls, trouble shoot, diagnose and resolve technical system problems.
- Work closely with customers to provide ongoing service, repairs and programming of electrical systems. Maintain accurate records of installs and service calls.
- Program and integrate different electrical Security and Access Control systems
- Train users on various products and systems (Lenel, Axis, Genetec, DSC, Avigilon)
Your experience and skills
Salary range : Compensation through the IBEW 230 Collective Agreement, plus great benefits and RRSP. For those hired in the Service division, a company Service Van, cell phone, and service clothing will be provided.
