CLINICIAN – REGISTERED
Eighteen (18) Month Full-time Contract Position in Cochrane
As a member of the Child and Youth Mental Health team, the Clinician – Registered will provide psychotherapy, single sessions, counselling and psychotherapy, support and clinical assessments to address identified behavioural, social and emotional needs of children, adolescents (up to eighteen (18) years of age) and their family support systems. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful and innovative, working within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of professionals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS) :
- A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or a Health-Related Discipline is preferred. Candidates with a Bachelor of Social Work, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or other four year Honours degrees combined with a College diploma accepted by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or College of Nurses of Ontario will be considered.
- Must be eligible or registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a Social Worker, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse, the College of Psychologists or the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario in accordance with the Psychotherapy Act. Membership to the respective College must be maintained annually.
- Clinical skills in the area of children’s mental health.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other professionals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Bilingualism (English / French) is an asset.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and use of own vehicle.
