Overview
We are currently seeking an automation controls specialist for a growing manufacturer in the Lower Mainland, BC area.
The successful candidate will do well in a flat smaller organization with a company culture of team work, humility, patience, and mutual support shared amongst employees and leaders.
The automation controls specialist should be senior level in PLCs and be competent in programming, ideally with fluency in Siemens platform.
You will primarily work during regular business hours Monday to Friday and be expected on site majority of the time. Manufacturing operations will be convenient commuting from anywhere on the west side of Greater Vancouver including Vancouver, North Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, and Richmond. There is occasional service work on customer sites around the Lower Mainland and surrounding region. Flexibility for some after hours or weekend work is appreciated, for which applicable overtime will be awarded.
The compensation will be ranging from $50-60 per hour based on level of relevant experience, and include a benefits package offering.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of automation and controls experience
- Strong PLC programming, troubleshooting, project management skills
- Knowledge of Siemens platform is ideal
- Manufacturing industry work experience is preferred
- Mechatronics technologist or mechatronics engineering certification is preferred
- Mechanical aptitude
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Permanent resident or Canadian citizen with ability to travel to United States for training (valid passport)
