It’s our employee promise.Our hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in-person interactions.Read on to see how you can shape the future, win as a team, and grow with us.About the roleWe’re looking for a Claims Consultant, Specialty to join our growing Specialty Claims team!NOTE : The level of role offered will be determined based on skills, experience and education.What you'll do here : Investigate and maintain highly complex defence and coverage claims in Specialty Lines.Manage class actions and extraordinary matters.Anticipate internal and / or external business challenges and / or regulatory issues; recommend process, product or service improvements.Collaborate with Underwriting, including with business development efforts.Conduct coverage analysis. Handle complex coverage issues, draft reservation of rights and denial letters.Participate in settlement conferences, mediations, pre-trial and hearings.Initiate reserve movements, approve settlements and process payments within established authorization levels.Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, training, support and guidance to various key stakeholders and team members.What you bring to the table : University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.5-10 years exposure within the Claims, Legal, Finance, Business industries is an asset.Effective verbal communication skills, with experience in interviewing, coaching others, and dealing with clients.Superior written communications skills to draft claims reports and file-related correspondence.Specialized industry experience.Passionate about customer service.A great, empathetic, rational communicator.Curious, adaptable and an industrious person.Project management and change management skills.Can build relationships based on trust and collaboration.This role is eligible for employee referral bonus.Salary : The salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity : $103,200.00 - $154,800.00.What we offerWorking here means you'll be empowered to be and do your best every day.
