Elevate Recruitment is currently searching for a bilingual, experienced Manager of Strategic Communications and Engagement to join our client's executive team. This pivotal role reports directly to the Executive Director of the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC). The Manager will develop a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy and oversee its execution that aligns with our strategic goals, enhances our brand, drives membership growth, and supports revenue diversification efforts. A language assessment in both official languages will be required as part of the recruitment process.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to the organization's strategic direction and planning processes.
• Develop and implement innovative communications, marketing, and engagement plans that raise the organization’s profile and reputation.
• Lead and manage a team of direct reports and contractors.
• Develop, lead, and oversee the execution of communications strategies for initiatives including membership drive campaign, conferences, awards, and accreditation.
• Develop and oversee execution of membership engagement strategy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including members, industry, government agencies, and media.
• Act as the primary media contact, handling media inquiries and coordinating responses.
• Ensure consistent application of CIC’s brand guidelines across all communication materials.
