Job descriptionOpportunity for permanent hire upon successful placement with Randstad Canada Full-time hours with opportunity for overtime Entry level position into an organization with opportunity for career development Weekly pay via Randstad Canada Medical and dental benefit coverage via Randstad Canada from day 1 Referral bonus opportunities Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment per manufacturer specifications to ensure proper operation. Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records utilizing approved CMMS software for all work orders including Preventive and Corrective Maintenance tasks. Manage spare parts and materials inventory with approved CMMS software and inventory management strategies. Perform simple building maintenance, such as painting, minor plumbing, and minor carpentry. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning machines, equipment, and small tools / parts. Install / commission, relocate, and uninstall / decommission machines and equipment. Support and participate in BPS as well as Kaizen / RIE events to develop strategic improvements based on root cause analysis. Operate various industrial vehicles / equipment used in material / machine moving / rigging installation / maintenance. Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to all facility environmental, health & safety guidelines, encourage positive communication, and participate with co-workers to further. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Effective time management skills Red Seal Journeyman (Electrician, Millwright, Plumber / Gasfitter) Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Working knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes and Six Sigma Tools preferred
Randstad Canada is hiring for a Maintenance Technician in the Airdrie Alberta area for one of our leading clients in the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing industry.
- Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible to effectively carry out tasks associated with the predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of all facility and production equipment.
- In addition, this position is also responsible to perform duties associated with the installation of new equipment and removal of obsolete equipment in accordance with Management of Change (MOC) actions assigned to the position.
- The incumbent will also support departmental goals regarding key corporate initiatives including Eaton Lean System (ELSS), Eaton Business System (EBS) and the Eaton Management System for Environment, Health, Safety and Security (MESH).
Shift : 7 : 00AM - 3 : 30PM
Pay Rate : $36.00 / hr
