By leveraging cutting-edge machine learning techniques, they aim to revolutionize small molecule drug design and optimization. Currently a 10-person team, they are looking to expand to 15 team members and are seeking top-tier ML researchers to help push the boundaries of AI in drug discovery.The RoleAs a Machine Learning Research Scientist, you will : Design, implement, and test different scenarios within our from-scratch ML architecture to optimize the properties of small molecule drugs.Continually improve the robustness of our existing codebase through refactoring, testing, and best engineering practices.Apply our ML pipeline to new drug targets, ensuring state-of-the-art performance and scalability.This is a fully remote role, but you must be able to work within Pacific Time Zone (PST) hours.Must-HavesPh.D. in Computer Science or Mathematics (Master’s degree acceptable if qualifications below are met).First-author publications in NeurIPS, ICLR, or ICML (secondary preference for AAAI, AISTATS, UAI, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, or ACM). Publications must be in the main conference, not workshops.Expertise in Machine Learning, with deep experience in : Diffusion modelsTransformersBayesian optimization2+ years of experience developing robust code in larger projects, including : Code review & refactoringUnit testing & version controlCollaborative software developmentStrong Python and PyTorch expertiseWhy Join Us?
