Job description

We are Paramount Commerce, a leading fintech company focused on simplifying payments in Canada. Since the early 2000s, we have redefined online purchasing by introducing a way to pay directly from a bank account, bypassing credit cards or e-wallets. Our commitment is to provide the highest standards of security and risk management that support seamless payments and rich data.

As we strengthen our position in Canada, we are strategically positioning ourselves for global expansion. To achieve our goals, we are seeking talented professionals who can push the boundaries of innovation, contributing to our growth across Canada and worldwide. Join us at Paramount Commerce, where we not only follow fintech trends but shape them.

We are seeking a Product Manager to lead our treasury management & reconciliation initiatives within the Payment Rails domain. This role is responsible for driving automation, scalability, and accuracy in treasury operations, reconciliation, and settlement processing. You will work at the intersection of finance, technology, and risk management, ensuring that our treasury and reconciliation infrastructure is resilient, efficient, and compliant.

What will you do?

  • Design and implement automated reconciliation workflows, eliminating manual processes and ensuring real-time transaction tracking across bank accounts.
  • Establish market risk controls, enforce regulatory compliance (RPAA, CDIC), and develop audit trails for full financial transparency.
  • Improve the accuracy and efficiency of fund movements and automate refund and settlement workflows.
  • Work on both in-house financial tooling and third-party integrations to improve our treasury infrastructure.
  • Build automated balance checks, anomaly detection, and early warning systems for financial discrepancies.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to set performance metrics, ensuring visibility into reconciliation efficiency and financial health.
  • Work closely with finance, operations, engineering, and bank partners to develop clear, standardized processes and tools that improve operational efficiency and enable the business to scale treasury operations seamlessly.
  • Lead the vision, strategy, and execution of treasury automation and reconciliation improvements, taking products from initial uncertainty to structured, scalable solutions.

What we are looking for :

  • Minimum of 3  years in product management, ideally in fintech, payments, or financial reporting. Experience managing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders is essential.
  • 3+ years working in payments, banking, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with treasury management, reconciliation, and financial reporting. Knowledge of accounting principles is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable analyzing transactional data, defining KPIs, and using insights to drive automation and product improvements.
  • Comfortable moving between high-level strategic thinking and hands-on execution, diving into reconciliation and settlement challenges when needed.
  • Experience seeing projects through from beginning to end, owning the entire process.
  • You have exceptional people skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of management and day-to-day team members.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to internal teams and external partners.
  • You are obsessed with product quality and don’t settle for “good enough".
  • Worked in domain-driven / stream-aligned product organization is a plus.
  • At Paramount Commerce, we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We practice ethical and fair hiring processes and strongly encourage applications from diverse backgrounds. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.

We are committed to creating a place for our employees to be their authentic selves. We believe diversity of thought, background, and experience are essential to achieve our mission to simplify payments.
