Halifax Water is hiring for the job of Manager, Asset Management. This is a regular opportunity in the Engineering and Technology Services Department and has full time hours.What the Asset Management Team does : Delivers asset management, and infrastructure master planning projectsLeads investigations to confirm levels of service, fill data gaps, and determine asset conditionAdministers key data collection programs that inform work done by other departmentsCoordinates annual capital budget developmentProvides regular reporting on Halifax Water's assets (state of good repair and planning for our future services)Supports Halifax Water's response to customers' service expectations and growth demandsAs a Manager, Asset Management, you will : Lead the asset management roadmap implementation, develop and oversee the implementation of the comprehensive condition assessment program, and establish asset life cycle intervention strategies.Create and implement a communications program for the business unit with a focus on engaging internal stakeholders and building an asset management culture throughout the utility.Maintain expert level knowledge of Halifax Water's infrastructure with a core focus on asset management.Support Halifax Water's annual capital planning process and the development of the 1-Year capital budget and the 5-Year capital plan.To do this job, you need : A post-secondary education in Engineering (civil, municipal, environmental, or equivalent).A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.Five to seven years of progressively responsible related engineering experience leading municipal engineering or asset management initiatives, working on multi-disciplined teams on strategic initiatives, including direct supervisory experience or experience directing technical and professional personal.To be willing to obtain an Asset Management training certification such as IAM, PEMAC, IPWEA.A valid NS driver's license.This is a non-unionized role and the job description and benefits to working at Halifax Water can be viewed on the Halifax Water website (Work for Halifax Water | Halifax Water).Halifax Water Is An Equal Opportunity Employer Our goal is to be a diverse workplace, that is representative of the community we serve, at all job levels.
