Job descriptionMust be a graduate of an accredited Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineer program (Mechanics). Must have received Transport Canada Accreditation. Must hold a valid Canadian issued driver’s license with no restrictions and / or conditions. Legally able to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or on a Valid Work Permit). Ability to carry on normal business in English. Our Apprentice AMEs are given the opportunity to complete all the Transport Canada tasks required to obtain their AME License. When positions are available, AMEs are given the opportunity to transfer bases if desired. Jazz offers opportunities for career advancement. Pay scales are competitive and progress every 6 months to 1 year. AMEs qualify for a Technical Premium which is paid on top of the base wage for every hour worked. Employee travel benefits program on the Air Canada Network. Defined contribution Pension Plan. A comprehensive care plan including health, life, dental and disability benefits.
Purpose of Position :
To maintain the aircraft in an airworthy condition and carry out maintenance tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities : You will :
- Carry out maintenance duties on Jazz aircraft;
- Report on issues affecting the serviceability of aircraft;
- Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with Company and Transport Canada regulations;
- Perform duties in accordance with our established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, the safety of co-workers and customers.
