The Regina Open Door Society RODS is a non-profit organization that provides settlement and integration services to refugees and immigrants in Regina. Position Summary
This position's primary responsibility is providing administrative support to the clients and staff of the evening English Language program within RODS Language Services department, with special attention to attending to clients' inquiries; inputting data in RODS LINC internal client database; compiling monthly iCARE reports; maintaining PBLA records.
The position requires strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills including the ability to respond independently to constant challenges and changes while maintaining discretion and professionalism at all times. In order to provide effective and efficient services it is expected that the Administrative Program Support works in close collaboration with the Language Services leadership and administrative team.
Required qualifications / education
- High School Diploma; post-secondary education in Office Administration.
- 1-3 years of experience providing administrative services in an office setting.
- Strong technological skills; proficiency in using the MS Office Suite esp. Word, Excel, Outlook, experience working with databases.
- Proficiency in using a variety of office equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.
- Exceptional customer service, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent telephone etiquette.
- Attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Proven accountability, resourcefulness, and professionalism.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural setting.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as dictated by RODS HR Policies and Procedures.
- Knowledge of another language is an asset.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Work Hours and Salary Level
This is an in-person position. The hours of work for this position are Monday to Thursday from 4 : 00 p.m. to 8 : 00 p.m. with a total of 16 hour of work per week. The target starting date for this position is August 6, 2024. There is a six-month probationary period for this position.
The annual salary for the full-time position is $36,570.60 $20.84 per hour at Step 1 of Admin Category 1. It is prorated for 16 hour of work per week. Pay periods are the end of the day on the 15th of the month and the end of each month.
