Job Description :

Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Finance will partner with various functions of our business, providing timely financial insights in a collaborative environment.

The Director of Finance will directly influence and impact the strategic financial decisions within the business unit, including pricing, new product feasibility, ongoing project profitability, budget creation, customer profitability, and management reporting. This role's business will operate in the US under the TransLoc brand.

Core Responsibilities

  • Monitor and input on key metrics of individual customer contracts
  • Monitor and enforce Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Ownership of the ‘Quarterly Strategic Review’ (QSR) process, considering sales pipeline and cost analysis to prepare a robust forecast, WIP, and Professional Services oversight
  • Ensure execution of action points from the QSR review process
  • Accountable for accurate and timely monthly / quarterly consolidated financial reporting to ensure compliance of internal and external reporting and requirements per IFRS
  • Responsible for working with the business to assess market pricing, new deal pricing, and sales approach for our products.
  • Coordinate, analyze, and report the financial performance to the Executive Team, Senior Management, and TransLoc
  • Lead financial analysis over any new product initiatives, which would include cost assessment, revenue forecasts, and overall lifetime profitability
  • Become an expert in the company’s forecasting tool, Adaptive Insights, and knowledgeable in the company’s other key tools, such as Salesforce
  • Work closely with all functional leads to ensure project bids and contract terms, financial and otherwise, adhere to corporate parameters
  • Oversee information technology support team with responsibility for IT infrastructure, networking, and security compliance.

Education and Certifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification.
  • Knowledge :

  • 5+ years working for a “big 5” accounting, tax, or financial audit firm.
  • 5+ years’ experience leading accounting in software / tech (SaaS preferred)
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting principles, internal controls, and risk management.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • FP&A is critical
