Job description
We are offering an exciting opportunity in the construction / contractor industry, based in Abbotsford, British Columbia. We are searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk to become a crucial part of our team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be tasked with managing and maintaining our financial records, including processing payments and invoices. This role requires a meticulous and organized individual with a strong understanding of account reconciliation and QuickBooks.
Responsibilities :
- Accurately process invoices and payments in a timely manner
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data entries
- Manage accounts payable using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Conduct regular check runs to ensure smooth financial operations
- Handle coding of invoices with precision and accuracy
- Perform account reconciliations to maintain up-to-date records
- Assist in month-end reconciliations as needed
- Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role within the construction / contracting industry
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation procedures
- Demonstrated experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes
- Familiarity with executing Check Runs
- Ability to accurately code invoices
- Strong data entry skills with emphasis on accuracy and speed
- Experience in Invoice Processing and handling of related tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial data management
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks for accounting purposes
