What Would You Do?
Palliser Furniture Ltd. is currently seeking an energetic and dedicated individual to fill the role of our Warehouse and Delivery Associate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing the highest level of customer service through home deliveries, customer pickups, while assisting with the showroom presentation.
The duties and responsibilities of this position would include :
- Assisting in unloading and receiving of shipments
- Organizing products within the warehouse
- Following process of inventory management- incoming, transfers, home delivery.
- Loading delivery trucks and consumer vehicles
- Transfer products to the showroom. Assemble room groupings as directed.
- Perform daily inspection of vehicle and submit daily truck log to Warehouse Supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness of delivery truck, warehouse, loading dock
- Document arrival and departure of each appointment
- Deliver products into the customers home without damaging the product or their residence
- Complete assemblies / installations / garbage removal where applicable
What Do You Bring?
3 years of experience driving the equivalent of a 5 ton vehicle (single axle box truck).
Completion of grade 12 or GED.
A class 5 License with a clear Drivers Abstract and criminal record check.
Understands importance of and delivers workplace safety initiatives.
Self-motivated, able to work well with little or no supervision, and a strong positive attitude.
2-4 years of customer service experience.
Ability to communicate effectively in English (both oral and written)
Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Knowledge of the Winnipeg City and surround areas.
Experience working with cell phone and GPS.
Able to lift 100 lbs.
