CRM & Email Marketing Manager

In this role, the successful candidate will be part of the Performance Marketing Team and will be responsible for leading a team to drive Strategy & Channel Performance, as the CRM & Email Marketing Manager .

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following :
CRM & Data Management
- Develop and implement CRM strategies to maximize customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
- Work closely with data and analytics teams to build and optimize customer segments and personalize communications.
- Integrate CRM insights into email and SMS campaigns to enhance targeting and deliver data-driven results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure CRM strategies and capabilities align with broader business and marketing goals.
Email Marketing Management
- Develop and execute the overall email marketing strategy in support of our business objectives.
- Provide thought leadership on email best practices and latest developments.
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new subscribers and reduce churn.
- Manage the email marketing calendar to drive business outcomes.
- Review and approve all email communications ensuring accuracy, quality, and adherence to email best practices.
- Continually seek to improve the efficiency of the email campaign process in collaboration with creative, brand, ecommerce, loyalty, and data and analytics teams.
- Provide subject matter expertise to support the exploration of a new email service provider, alongside managing current platforms such as SendGrid and Segment.
- Ensure all email programs comply with the latest regulations.
- Manage the email marketing budget, ensuring email sends are within allocated agreements.
Performance Analytics
- Set key performance indicators for the email channel, including, channel metrics like subscriber base, deliverability, open rate and click through rate, as well as engagement and revenue targets.
- Share key insights and opportunities based on learnings from past email campaigns to inform future strategies.
SMS Marketing
- Develop a comprehensive SMS marketing strategy in support of key cross-functional initiatives.
- Lead the onboarding and implementation of SMS marketing, becoming a subject matter expert.
Customer Lifecycle Journey
- Identify customer segments and areas of opportunity that can be supported through automated communications.
- Develop customer journeys to support the entire customer lifecycle.
- Manage projects and vendors that drive continuous improvement in email, CRM, and SMS marketing.
- Monitor the quality and performance of automated campaigns and journeys; identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
Leadership & Collaboration
- Hold one-one meetings and complete assessments.
- Manage team engagement, development, and succession planning.
- Establish performance standards and lead by example.
- Build and maintain relationships with key collaborators on the marketing, eCommerce, analytics, and technology teams.
- Model flexibility and embrace change in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead key initiatives in support of customer relationship management (CRM) strategies
Other duties and Projects as assigned
The successful candidate will bring the following skills :
- Degree / Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business or other relevant field
- 5+ years of related experience - specifically in Email Marketing & CRM
- Experience in leading strategy, team and email projects
- Basic understanding of HTML / CSS for email creation is considered an asset
- Past experience in retail or fashion is also preferred
- Proficiency with email marketing platforms
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytically inclined; ability to synthesize and effectively communicate client data
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to work in a team and across functions
- Technically proficient using MS Office, including using formulas and pivot tables in Excel
