Our retail client is seeking a Senior It Project Manager to lead the execution of a critical data strategy and modernization initiative within the retail industry.

Must Haves :

10+ years' experience as an IT Project Manager
Experienced in delivering enterprise-scale Data Analytics projects
Experience delivering data transformation projects
Strong understanding of Data Governance
Strong understanding of Centralized Data platforms ( Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, Relational Databases, Cloud )
Strong experience with Analytics tools ( Tableau, Alteryx, Excel )
Industry experience : Retail, Distribution, Data Management
PMP or Prince 2 Certified
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Nice to Haves :

Agile or Scrum Certification

Experience implementing ERPs

Experience in Software Development or Web Technologies

Description :

The Senior IT Project Manager will lead the execution of a critical Data Strategy and Modernization Initiative for a major global retailer headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This initiative is focused on building a scalable, governed data infrastructure to support Category Performance Improvement (CPI) within the TN initiative.

The Senior IT Project Manager will oversee two core workstreams : Data Governance & Business Process Transformation and Data Transformation & Modernization.

This role is essential to ensuring that the retailer leverages accurate data insights for decision-making while embedding sustainable governance and data remediation practices. Key responsibilities include implementing governance structures, building a centralized data platform, and delivering real-time CPI insights through dashboards and KPIs.
