Position Summary

As a Host , you are the first point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming and memorable first impression. You are responsible for managing reservations, seating guests efficiently, and assisting the service team to ensure smooth front-of-house operations. You will also handle guest inquiries, manage waitlists, and contribute to a positive dining atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their assigned table, providing menus.
  • Communicate with servers when seating guests and relay any special requests.
  • Ensure that menus, promotional materials, and other items are well-stocked and up to date.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming entrance and waiting area.
  • Manage reservations and waitlists, optimizing seating arrangements to enhance guest experience.
  • Address guest inquiries and special requests professionally and promptly.
  • Assist in clearing and resetting tables, setting up dining areas, and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Monitor guest flow, ensuring smooth operations during peak times.
  • Offer assistance with coats and personal items, providing a secure and efficient coat check service when available.
  • Assist colleagues during busy periods, contributing to an effective and collaborative team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless service.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Document and report any incidents or accidents that occur during service, following proper procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest enjoys a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience preferred but not required - training will be provided.
  • A friendly and outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using reservation management systems (training provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellent service.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Duration : This is a Full-Time seasonal position, April to October.
