Description
Responsible for supporting customers through on-site activities such as installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions which may include hardware, software and networking products as well as operating systems.
Installs and optimizes hardware / software / network products and configurations at customer sites.
Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
Performs maintenance and repair services.
Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
Proactively responds to potential equipment or software issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business.
Delivers (does not design) fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software.
Serves as an internal resource on technical issues and manages product escalations Collaborates with Agilent teams such as Support, Sales, Marketing and R&D to provide solutions to customers.
Knowledge of third-party products.
May deliver internal technical training and maintenance seminars and workshops for field engineers or customers.
May train other field engineers or customers.
May calibrate equipment on-site for large volume customers.
Responsible for generating sales leads.
Must consent to participate and meet Agilent approved customer / vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain access to customer sites.
Requirements may include, but are not limited to, proof of identification, proof of certification to perform the work required, customer health and safety requirements, federal government reliability clearance, drug testing, vaccination, background check, etc.
Qualifications
University degree (or equivalent) within the science field – chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry or similar or relevant work experience.
4+ years experience with ICP, ICP-MS, ICP-MS-QQQ in a similar position or experience as an Agilent end user.
Molecular Spectroscopy (UV-VIS, FTIR) in a similar position or experience as an Agilent end user highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability and prior experience in performing hands on maintenance, installations and selected repairs on analytical instruments.
Environmental, geological and metallurgical analysis application knowledge highly desirable.
Strong customer relationship skills are needed
Must be available for up to 35% travel that may include over-night stays in remote location
Must comply with Federal / Provincial government security clearance checks request when necessary for on-site work in government facilities.
Must comply with site access requirements that may include but not limited to medical information, drug testing or background checks.
Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Experience with Agilent spectroscopy solutions is highly desirable..
Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful, and timely. (English, French highly desirable)
You enjoy travelling and visiting customers.
Valid drivers license for the province of residence

Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $78, - $122, CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
