Mental Health Clinician (Full Time)
Indigenous Complex Care Housing
This permanent full-time position requires an individual with extensive knowledge of the health and social determinants impacting residents who may be experiencing homelessness or risk of homelessness and may be experiencing mental health and addictions. The position provides direction to an Indigenous Complex Care Housing Team and supports the 10 residents engaging in the Program. The Mental Health Clinician will deliver high quality, resident focused programs across the continuum of community services and liaise with local community supports and other service providers.
The successful candidate will have :
- Master's degree from recognized university in Psychology and / or Social Work, registered and in good standing with BCACC.
- Leadership experience in the mental health and addiction services field.
- Certification in or willing to obtain : First Aid, ASIST, Crisis de-escalation / prevention (CPI), Conflict Resolution, Mental Health First Aid, Trauma inform training, and any other training required.
- Ability to undergo a successful criminal record search.
- Familiarity with trauma informed practice. Familiarity with Indigenous teachings and practices.
- Successfully complete Criminal Record Clearances.
- Wages $39 / hr. - $41 / hr. based on qualifications and experience with a full benefit plan and RRSP contributions.
