Job descriptionMinimum 5 years of experience in ladies' fashion design. Proven ability to translate market trends into commercially successful designs. Expertise in pattern-making, garment construction, and technical fittings. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other design related software. Strong understanding of luxury fabrics and materials. Excellent communication and collaboration skills (Fluency in both English and French is mandatory). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Fashion Design. Ability to travel internationally for fabric sourcing and research. Candidates must be residing in the greater Montreal area. Role Overview :
As a Senior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our seasonal collections, from concept to final production. You will drive creative direction, translate market trends into innovative designs, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and fit.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conceptualization & Design : Lead seasonal trend research, develop compelling storyboards, and create original designs using Adobe Illustrator.
- Fabric & Material Selection : Attend international textile trade shows (e.g., Première Vision) and curate premium fabric selections.
- Technical Expertise : Oversee pattern development, conduct precise fittings, and communicate technical specifications to pattern-makers and production teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with sales, buying, and production teams to ensure market relevance and commercial viability.
- Quality Assurance : Maintain rigorous standards for fit, construction, and overall garment quality.
