Education, Training And Experience
Graduate of a recognized nursing program. Graduation from a recognized nursing program, or evidence of an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification or eligible for CDE certification to be obtained within three years of hire. Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant. A minimum of three years' recent related experience in the care of diabetes and group teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Demonstrated knowledge in the current theories, technologies and practices in the control of diabetes mellitus. Knowledge of Adult Education learning principles.
