Role Description :
Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Professional (Engineer, Scientist, or Technologist) to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Reporting to the Atlantic Regional Manager, the successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment with ample opportunities for career progression. Role Accountabilities :
The Environmental Professional will be integral to a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and technologists, providing technical expertise across sectors like oil and gas, mining, power, and infrastructure. Experience with Contaminated Sites, Site Remediation, and Monitoring is a requirement, and ability to register as a Professional Engineer or Geoscientist in Nova Scotia is preferred.
You will manage and direct technical tasks and field programs, including contaminated site investigations, feasibility studies, remediation design, and hydrogeological studies. Your responsibilities will span from project management to technical advice, report preparation, and senior review. Ensuring compliance with corporate policies, health and safety programs, and performance management systems are all important parts of the role.
Additional responsibilities will include :
- Preparing and reviewing reports, work plans, specifications, and proposals; managing technical budgets; and mentoring intermediate and junior staff for regulatory compliance and technical accuracy
- Supporting practice area planning and goal setting, collaborating with senior staff across Canada and the US to provide integrated services for clients and engage in local, national, and international projects
- Fostering positive, long-term professional relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and external agencies to support business development
