Your role on our team :

The Service Coordinator is a split role that includes service technician duties and shop activity coordination.

Under guidance of the Service Manager, the Service Coordinator will be the lead technician for the location, ensuring the safe & efficient operation of shop facilities and work being conducted by the Service Team.

This position will safely and efficiently perform repairs & maintenance to agricultural machinery that meets or exceeds customer and CLAAS standards. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, equipment failure diagnostics of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, power train, brakes, steering, electronics, computer applications, HVAC and removal / repair / replacement of failed components.

• Troubleshoots and repairs customer machinery either in the shop or customer location
• Troubleshoots machine systems and research’s problems
• Regularly inspects the service department and ensures any potential safety hazards are identified and mitigated. Ensures all service staff follow all required safety regulations and that all training is kept up to date.
• Machinery Set-Up and Adjustments
• Uses laptop to enter own labor, fill out service reports, and completes warranty reports
• Uses service manuals and parts books to look up specs and parts for repairs
• Organization of shop workflow, tools, and service vehicles
• Works with Service Team to maintain a high level of cleanliness as it relates to the shop work area and service vehicles
• Motivates Service Team to perform work safely and efficiently while delivering quality results
• Assists Service Manager with :
• Creation of work schedules and field technician assignments
• Quoting repairs for internal machines and for customer units
• Monitoring and invoicing work orders in a timely manner
• Quality Assurance inspections of completed technician work when required
• Service Manager designate as required
