Overview

Alberco Construction Ltd, leaders in bridge and water infrastructure construction, is accepting applications for a  Site Superintendent  for projects in the Edmonton and Red Deer area.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high quality standard. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of concrete infrastructure construction processes and methodologies.

General Job Duties & Responsibilities :

• In-town and Out of Town Projects available
• Proficient management of all aspects of construction site activities including : project planning, scheduling, cost control and ordering materials
• Supervise daily operations and labor on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers to ensure project milestones are met.
• Review schematics and blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Utilize construction management software.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality control measures.
• Manage project budgets, including estimating costs and controlling expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, consultants, architects, engineers, and team members, regarding project status and any issues that arise.
• Ensure the health and safety program is followed on site
• Prepare timely reports as required, on project progress, challenges, and solutions for upper management review.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
