Journeyperson – Level 4
- More than one position may be filled from this competition
The Truck & Transport Mechanics are responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repair of 300 plus units, including automobiles, emergency vehicles, public transport, public utility vehicles, light / heavy trucks, and construction equipment. Employees work under the leadership of the Fleet Maintenance Chargehand but are allowed considerable latitude for independent judgement in applying knowledge and skills to the diagnosis and repair of assigned equipment.
This position offers a monthly tool allowance as well as a tool replacement program. The City agrees to replace broken or worn out tools during the course of employment. A tool allowance is provided monthly to each employee for the purchase of new tooling.

Position Conditions :
This full-time, permanent position of 40 hours per week will be offered in accordance with conditions identified in the Collective Agreement between the City of Brandon and CUPE Local 69
