Summary :   The Administrative Assistant is an entry-level position serving administrative functions across various departments and divisions.

This role will be based at our  St John's location.

The administrative assistant provides support to both management and the Client Services Team and other administrative functions.

What you will be doing : Strive to employ AGAT’s mission statement of “Service Beyond Analysis” by providing assistance to the Client Services Team  Completion of quotes and standing offers, ordering and invoicing Notifying clients of sample integrity issues Ordering and invoicing and mail collection Vendor follow-up and PO creation, sending reports and invoices Preparation of meeting and presentation materials Relieve Management of administrative functions such as planning and setting up for office meetings Other general office administrative tasks as required What you bring to the table : Minimum High School Diploma Required Diploma or Degree in Science or Administration an asset Minimum 1 year customer service and administrative experience Confident computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office and Excel, Laboratory Information Management Systems [LIMS] and Reporting Systems) Excellent communication skills with clients and members of the team, both verbal and written Excellent planning, organization, decision making and time management skills  Attention to detail for routine tasks and commitment to quality standards Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment Exhibit patience and customer rapport building expertise Position may entail exposure to confidential and sensitive information; confidentiality required Work Environment : This position requires a person to sit for prolonged periods of time.

Manual dexterity is required to perform this position.

General office environment with some exposure to laboratory environment.

Compliance with established safety procedures and appropriate PPE.

Repetitious work with noticeable pressure for deadlines.
