We are hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in New Westminster, British Columbia. This role involves ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications, maintaining precise records, and resolving any customer inquiries. The selected individual will also monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required.
Responsibilities :
- Handle high volume invoice entry with excellent attention to detail
- Utilize AP systems to maintain accurate records of customer credit applications
- Resolve inquiries and issues related to customer credit applications
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as needed
- Apply basic knowledge of GST and PST in processing invoices
- Ensure accuracy in coding invoices and processing check runs
- Familiarize with and adhere to workflow processes within the team
- Utilize Excel for data entry and invoice processing tasks.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar position
- Proven proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
- Demonstrated ability to conduct check runs efficiently and accurately
- Solid experience in coding invoices
- Strong data entry skills, with an emphasis on accuracy and speed
- Experience in invoice processing, with a focus on maintaining timelines and ensuring correct payment
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with vendors and internal teams
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- High level of integrity, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
