Job descriptionEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders. Prepare financial updates for monthly business reviews. Collaborate with senior management to drive financial planning, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives. Monitor and manage cash flow, providing weekly updates to shareholders. Oversee tax filings, bank transactions, and financial compliance. Manage audits, budgets, and financial performance analysis. Support system implementations and upgrades for improved efficiency. Handle financial requests from the Head of Finance and CFO. CPA designation with 5+ years of financial management experience. Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance. Experience in a consumer-facing industry. Proven leadership and collaboration skills. Effective communication skills (written & verbal). Expertise in tax, audit, budgeting, and financial analysis. Proficient computer and analytical skills - Excel, Great Plains, NetSuite, and Concur. ERP implementation experience is an asset.

What- the Role :
The Controller oversees our client’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management. This role leads the accounting team, collaborates across departments, and supports financial decision-making.
Team Leadership :
- Manage and mentor a team of 6-7 accounting professionals (AP, AR, and GL).
- Oversee daily accounting activities and drive process improvements.
- Foster a high-performing team aligned with organizational goals.

How Much :
115,000 - $140,000 commensurate with candidate’s experience, extended, medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, 3 weeks’ vacation, flight perks, revenue sharing, discretionary bonus, RRSP matching program.

Richmond, BC. Hybrid work model of in-office / remote, 3 days onsite.
