Job descriptionTo investigate diverse and complex complaints associated with actual or suspected breaches of legislations, regulations and policies with the potential to impact the security, integrity and / or reputation of the ministry, government or the Registry Agent Network (RAN) in accordance with legislation, the Criminal Code of Canada and ministry policies and procedures. To ensure policies, programs and initiatives associated with the investigation program are implemented, evaluated and enhanced to ensure compliance with legislation, regulation and relevant business plan goals. To enhance and develop relationships with external enforcement agencies and stakeholders through comprehensive consultation and providing information services. To support the Director of SIU in achieving the mandate goals of the Ministry. Demonstrated leadership skills, including staff development and coaching, along with strategic thinking. Effective verbal and written communication, as well as presentation skills. Strong negotiation, judgement and mediation skills. Strong interpersonal and consultation skills. Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Client-focused delivery skills, emphasizing integrity, discretion, tact, and continuous improvement. Ability to work collaboratively and be a supportive team player.

In addition to directly handling critical investigations, as a Senior Investigator you will oversee complex investigations involving teams of investigators and partner representatives.
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Special Investigations Unit (SIU) South, you will function within the parameters of applicable Government and Ministry legislations, regulations, policies, directives and procedures.
