Actuarial analyst Jobs in Kelowna, BC

Do you have five years accounting experience and have your CPA designation? Do you have strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and the ability to prioritize and work within tight deadlines? If so, we want you on our Financial Services Team!

As the Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting work at a senior level including preparation of financial reports, assisting with budgets and financial monitoring, and completing analysis and reconciliation. This position exercises technical independence and professional analysis within the guidelines of established accounting system practices and municipal accounting standards.

You will :

• Perform senior accounting work including :
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service relating to all aspects of the position including resolving issues.
• Review and analyze existing financial systems to :

Ensure the overall integrity and effective integration of internal and external financial information systems.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA designation and a minimum of 5 years' of related work experience. They will have working knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Board standards and generally accepted accounting principles, excellent customer service skills, and be proficient in MS office. Experience working with Vadim and GIS is preferred.

This is a part-time, 9-month term CUPE 338 position with a possibility of extension. The schedule for this position will be 21-hours per week, with standard working days being between Monday and Friday, 8 : 00 am - 4 : 00 pm. This position pays $52.55 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefits.
