We are searching for an  Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Finance Team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

  • Builds and utilizes financial analysis tools to manage and report on accounts payable, vendors, payments, and purchase order processes
  • Monitor payment reporting for exceptions and provide corrective actions to ensure completeness and accuracy of payments
  • Monthly vendor account reconciliations for key corporate vendors
  • Corporate credit card reconciliations and Expense report processing
  • Process, review and management of purchase orders. Including identification and closure of purchase orders that re fulfilled, or cancelled
  • Process and review aged / past due Purchase Order reporting and liaise with operations to determine actions required to complete, update or close related purchase orders.
  • Reports monthly on the status of purchase orders, invoice processing and expense and credit card reporting.
  • Supports a month end reporting by delivering complete vendor account reconciliations, and ensuring purchase orders and invoices are processed accurately and on time.
  • About You

    In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance, or College certificate in business administration or finance paired with 5 or more years of experience in a finance or payables role.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience working in an accounting or finance role
  • Experience with accounts payable considered an asset
  • Proficiency in understanding accounting and financial reporting
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and / or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
