Job description

Blackbird Interactive is looking for a 3D Generalist to join our team. You'll model and texture level assets, including environment art, terrain, and props for a AAA Action Adventure Game. If you like working on grounded, realistic environments in a gritty, story-driven interactive experience, this is the position for you!

Responsibilities

Create 3D models, shaders and texture maps, to match concept art, art direction, and design.
Work closely with the Leads to keep scale, details, and quality consistent across all asset work.
Work with both the level design and narrative teams to produce AAA standard textured assets.
Able to adapt work methods to the project pipeline and meet technical constraints.
Stay up to date on best practices in the video game industry, and work to integrate them into the project.
Work on tasks with clear direction, with and without supervision.

Requirements

Thorough knowledge and proficiency with Maya.

Knowledge of game art asset implementation in modern game engines.

Experience creating textures for a PBR lighting model.

Knowledge of Substance Painter / Designer.

Proven capability to work on multidisciplinary project teams and is able to handle changing priorities throughout a product life cycle.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as a proven track record working with a team.

Nice-to-haves :

Plays modern action-adventure games.

Demonstrated passion for entertainment products / media ( comics, movies, novels, etc.)

Knowledgeable of Quixel Bridge and Mixer.
