Acero Engineering Inc. (“Acero”), a growing facilities engineering company providing engineering, procurement and construction management expertise is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill a Contract role as a 3D Electrical Drafter / Designer.

Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start-up. Our core service offering is in-house project management, process, mechanical, electrical I&C engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services and construction management.

Responsibilities :

• Ability to lay out 2D and 3D electrical trays and instrumentation.
• Understands electrical design for industrial applications including load calculations, cable sizing, power distribution, heat tracing, modular design, equipment specification, area classification, power system studies, instrumentation, and control philosophy.
• Understands the Canadian Electrical Code.
• Understands Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs).
• Understands required electrical deliverables and calculations for completing electrical designs for Oil and Gas projects.
• Maintain project drawing files and electronic drawings.
• Assure conformity to standards and execution of the work for Quality Assurance and Control.
• Adhere to procedures issued by company or client.
• Work to Standard & Typical Drawings as required.
• Meet drawing schedules and deliverables.
• Other tasks / responsibilities, as required.
